With Intellivision entering the console race, 2020 will be a tough time for the console as that is also the expected release date for Sony’s PS5, and Microsoft’s successor to the Xbox One. While a release date isn’t mentioned in the company’s press release, we can only assume that this will be a launch title for the console. The Intellivision Amico will release on October 10th, 2020. This is a first when we talk about retro game consoles continuing their support for titles after leaving the store shelf.
It will have its digital store for consumers to buy games, and support the console. Unlike the retro consoles that Nintendo and Sony are making, The Intellivision Amico will be a retro console that will keep getting updated games, have wireless controllers and other features.
